Adrian Mutu coach at Rapid, before the inauguration of New Giulești Stadium

Rapid Bucharest is about to play its first game on Giulești Stadium, the new version, on 26th of March. It will happen with Adrian Mutu on the bench, the new coach. After 29 matches in Liga 1, with one more game to go from the regular season, Mihai Iosif was changed. OK, no big deal here. The problem is that the former great Romanian football player is only something for the photographers, for the debates. 0 performance as a coach and I am afraid of what is about to come. Of course, a lot of discussions, comments, shares and so on. Mutu is a well looking guy, but if you fire Mihai Iosif you need to bring in somebody that can do better, not worse. It looks like a joke, let’s believe it will be a good one!

Hope the future will prove me wrong, but the numbers don’t:

  • 23 matches as head coach for FC Voluntari and FC U Craiova:
    • 6 wins
    • 6 draws
    • 11 loses

The future does neither look bright…
