Fists pressed in the air, Adrian Mutu celebrates the third victory in a row as Rapid Bucharest coach. The percentage is beautiful, but the truth is far from glamorous. Rapid beat Academica Clinceni, 1-0, their second victory in the same manner since Mutu joined the club, against the same opponent. In between, there was a thin success, 3-1, against Dinamo Bucharest. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t like the appointment of Adrian Mutu from the very beginning, but this has nothing to do with my comment now. He’s happy with his nine-point-achievement, but that means nothing, because the opponents are a disgrace to football.
Adrian Mutu, three wins for the fans, but…
Dinamo Bucharest and Academica Clinceni, for the honor of the game, should have dissolved asap, because what they are showing is not linked to any kind of football. Lucky for them, there is help from Gaz Metan Medias, another team that I hope to disappear and never restore. Who needs these kinds of teams? Guys like Adrian Mutu, maybe. OK, for us, the Rapid Bucharest supporters, a victory against one of these means a reason to smile. Yep, but if you watch it as a long term or an overall picture, these victories are made of soft mud, nothing solid, nothing concrete… This time, Romario Moise scored a beautiful winning goal with a perfect header, but Moise, truth be said, is one of the weakest players that are playing at the moment at Rapid.
A horrible accident was about to happen
A guy from Academica Clinceni almost broke both his legs when he tried to stop a ball at the end of the match. This is the reality, nothing more or less. For Rapid, on March 26th, the new Giulești Stadium will be inaugurated in a special event alongside a festive match against Poli Timișoara. Since I’ll be there, I will definitely keep you posted. Unfortunately, my first experience linked to this was a very poor one when I tried to buy the tickets. But, hey, we are very happy that we could gather nine points against amateur players. Who cares about anything else…?
