The marathon calendar 2024 is just under way! I love to participate to a marathon, and discover the city / town in the same time. Did a few, and I am planning to do even more in the future. For now, in Europe. This is why, I came up to the idea to add up a list with all the major events from Europe, mostly from capital cities, but also from other locations, with great popularity. I am sure I didn’t captured them all, but I did my best to have the best reach possible for 2024 (or the remaining 10 months and a half).

Europe Marathon Calendar 2024 conclusion
You see, most of them are marathons I would attend, and without exception are road races, so if you want more information you can get straight to the source, from where I have made the selection: marathonguide.com. Some of the 2023 races were not confirmed yet, most important of them all, Athens Authentic Marathon – but it is pretty likely to be held on 10th of November, I guess – but have an eye on the site, if you are interested in other competitions in Europe or even from the whole world, as the selection is much more generous. Interesting, though, in Helsinki there are three marathons held – I couldn’t find even two big ones in another city! – and also in July we don’t have any important event in Europe. Yep, but sure… important is relative, for each individual! 🙂
